UK house prices increased at a slower pace in April, data from the Office for National Statistics showed Wednesday.
House prices grew 2.6 percent year-on-year in April, following a 3.5 percent rise in March. The average house price was GBP 235,000 in April.
In London, house prices were up 2.3 percent in April from the same period last year. At the same time, house prices in England increased 2.5 percent.
On a monthly basis, house prices dropped 0.9 percent in April versus an increase of 1.5 percent in the previous month.
